Daniel Paillé, the former PQ minister, was nominated tonight as the Hochelaga Bloc candidate, 118 to 29 over Jean Baribeau. Baribeau spent much of their nomination campaign complaining about Paillé being the party’s chosen candidate.
Paillé is expected to easily win the seat for the BQ. The nomination date was moved up a week after Stephen Harper called the by-election this past weekend.
